Jissoji Temple

The origin of this temple was a sanctuary called Hokke-do. It was built at the site of Kamakura warrior Kudo Suketune's residence, by Nissho who is reportedly the son of Suketune's daughter. Hokke-do was later transferred to Mishima City as Hokke Temple. The present temple was reconstructed in 1621 by Nichijun. It belongs to the Nichiren sect.
