Jochiji Temple
Number four of the five Kamakura temples, this temple was founded in 1281 by Hojo Munemasa's wife and son Morotoki. It attracts tourists with its moss-covered entrance steps and the main gate with its bell tower. This temple belongs to the Engakuji faction of the Rinzai Buddhist sect. Kamakura Goddess of Mercy No.31 / 33. Kamakura Ksitigarbha No.12 / 24.
Tourist attractions include: Sansebutsuzazo: a wooden sculpture of a seated Buddha with sleeves and skirts hanging down, which is characteristic of the Kamakura era. Kanronoi: one of Kamakura's ten famous wells Futaison: one of Kamakura's Seven Gods of Good Fortune
