Jogyoji Temple

This temple of the Nichiren sect was founded in 1313 by Nitten. Its main sanctuary was reportedly removed and reconstructed from Myohoji Temple. Toward the end of the Kamakura government, the masterless samurai Hiroki Matsunosuke from Mito was reportedly sheltered and committed ritual suicide here.
