Jufukuji Temple

This temple was constructed in 1180 at the command of Hojo Masako, inviting the high-ranking priest Myoan Eisai to be the founder, at the site where the residence of Minamoto Yoritomo's father once stood. Ranked third of Kamakura's five most powerful temples, it belongs to the Kenchoji faction of the Rinzai Buddhist sect. Kamakura Goddess of Mercy No.24 / 33. Kamakura Ksitigarbha No.18 / 24.

ü There are graves of Hojo Masako and Minamoto Sanetomo, and several monuments. (It is in the cemetery of the main temple back which leads from the byroad of temple gate.)
