Juichinin-zuka

In an attack against the Kamakura government from the direction of Gokurakuji Kiridoshi, Nitta warriors fought desperately, resulting in many deaths, including that of their commander Ohdate Muneuji, and 11 (Juichinin) warriors who committed ritual suicide after all of their comrades had been killed.


Juichinin-zuka is the mound where the 11 warriors were buried.
