Raigoji Temple

This temple was built at the site of Nozoji Temple, a temple of the Shingon sect built in 1194 by Minamoto Yoritomo to pray for the souls of his warriors Miura Oosuke Yoshiaki and Tatara Shigeharu (Theirgraves stand in the grounds). Later it was renamed Raikoji when Otoa founded it as a Jishu Buddhist sect temple.Kamakura Goddess of Mercy No.14 / 33.
