Moto-hachiman, also called Yui Wakamiya
Minamoto Yoriyoshi who was "Sagaminokami" reportedly enshrined a guardian deity (The enshrined deity of Iwashimizu Hachimangu) of the Genji family here when he visited Kamakura in 1063 on his way back to Kyoto after winning a battle in Tohoku. This was the first connection between Kamakura and Genji. Later, Minamoto Yoritomo transferred the shrine's main building to the location of the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine. So, this place became called "Moto (former)-hachiman."
