Zaimokuza Beach

Called "Wakaetsu" during the Kamakura period, the Zaimokuza coast was crowded with ships from all over Japan. The shore has a shallow slope extending to a considerable distance. There is a story that Minamoto Sanetomo gave up launching a ship to go to China after repeated attempts.


The Zaimokuza bathing beach is open from late June to August.
